Many many many times during the creation of this short film, I felt like I had bitten off more than I could chew – but somehow the project was completed.
It was the first time in all my story telling attempts that I told a story about something other than a character in the story – what goes on behind the scenes at the moment of our death. There are obvious allusions and allegories in the story and I believe their inclusions helped to guide the characters through through to a place of rest in the story, especially for Hobo Clown who we first met in Scared Clown Toy.
The music score on this project, especially in act 3, is something that still amazes me that it was created through my hands. I can sit down and watch this short film at any time and recognise results from techniques that I hadn’t learnt yet. If we’re talking about steep learning curves, this is the project that propelled my belief above and beyond.
I don’t want to say much about the story or characters.. As it was designed to be a silent film, there is so much to discover by watching it without prenotions or context.
Please, enjoy this wonderful story.
